Our main goal was to encourage civic engagement through our exchanges and the topic of Europe appeared obvious due to the students' questions. We hoped to go and meet an Euro deputy in the European Parliament but we had to meet in person first to get to know each other and especially our ways of living, thus the first two mobilities in Norway and France. But there was no way we would create discriminations based on social status or disability. To do so, we needed your grant, also because in Norway, school related activites have to remain free for families. last but not least, all our activities were conducted in the language we're both learning: English! Through very tangible action, students better grasp the linguisitc tools available and learn much quicker how to manage a new language.

Despite many changes due to several troubles we will explain later (mainly a late acceptance or our project and an unexpected shift of financial software for the school in charge), we managed to do everything. There was a thorough work on vikings, our common ancestors, visiting museums, doing research especially on Rollo, first Duke of Normandy who reconciled the Francs and the "barbarians" _ notion which we studied through various cultural representations (series, films, paintings, advertisements, logos...). Students created an interactive game, videos, podcasts in which they answered each other about their respective representations. There was also exchanges about our ways of life (music genres, recipes, fashion styles, comparison of school systemes and schedules..) Finally, we answer the initial question: what about the special status of Norway in Europe? through the study of the European citizenship, its construction and instiutions first, then Norway's choices to develop a deep understanding of what it all means.

Each activity resulted in students productions (videos, podcast, glossary, cookbook..) and there was a monthly newsletter to sahre our findings with families and school staff members. All throughout the project, thanks to the tablet we bought, students added photos and video extracts that they have edited to build a documentary called CH DOCUMENTARY retracing all the adventure from the premices to the mobilities, passing by the application.. This film was shown at the local cinema in France on the last day of project, 19th of December, in front of families and staff members. It was shown inside the Norwegian school in Norway.
