Objectives

In setting up this project, we wanted to : * Promote intercultural understanding * Strengthen the sense of belonging to Europe: we want to develop a sense of European identity by highlighting the links that unite us as European citizens, despite our cultural differences. * Promote cooperation and solidarity. * Develop social and intercultural skills. * Promote inclusion. * To raise awareness among our pupils and the entire educational community of the challenges of European and global citizenship. * To encourage our pupils to become civically engaged and to develop them into committed, informed and responsible citizens, capable of making a positive contribution to society. By implementing this project, we wanted to contribute to the creation of a more united Europe, where citizens are aware of their diversity while celebrating what unites them.

Activities

1) Language exchanges during visios and exchanges with schools in partner countries. 2) Intercultural days and workshops highlighting different European cultures, their traditions, histories and customs, in order to promote intercultural understanding (days dedicated to Spain and Portugal, Erasmus Days, International Day). 3) Collaborative projects. We worked together on collaborative projects (class rules). 4) Cultural visit. We visited the House of Europe and took part in activities such as "European lettering" and "My European herbarium". The pupils were able to : *Create letters and place them on a map to identify each country. *Understand a few cultural elements with a European dimension in order to reflect a reality of identity on this same scale. * Discover the local and European environment. *Discover Europe through its biodiversity, particularly its flora. * discover a European culture. 5) Partnership with the "Clémentine Pitois" nursing home 6) Open Days: Presentation of Erasmus projects to parents via a power point.

Impact

1) Creation of European networks to encourage the creation of personal and professional links between participants and transnational participants. 2) Creation of a padlet to share all the actions and cultural events undertaken in the participating countries. 3) Production of educational resources (educational videos) 4) Impact on local communities. 5) Project with the Ephad, which we will continue next year. We won second prize in the 2024 civic education competition in the collective action category. 6) Talking time with our pupils to get them to think about what it means to be a European citizen and what their responsibilities are as citizens. 7) Better understanding of different European cultures by interacting with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
