The objectives were to - Take into account the diversity of the public and promote inclusion. We discussed artistic experiments, taking into account the linguistic diversity of the pupils. Pupils were encouraged to describe their plural and changing identities (projects: ‘Raconter son.ses identité.s’ and ‘Explorer son.ses identité-s, s'intégrer dans son territoire’) and to create multilingual narrative objects (kamishibaï) based on languages spoken or known. - Promoting a global approach to language teaching and learning The aim was to improve both the language skills of the pupils and those of the partner teachers. - Combating difficulties at school: By learning with who you are, by a back-and-forth approach to yourself and the object of knowledge, we are convinced that knowledge of yourself and your language encourages a calmer relationship with knowledge.

The project involved five activities: - Three artistic actions in schools in France and Italy (‘Raconter son.ses identité(s)’, ‘kamishibaï’ project, ‘identités et territoires’) and two meetings between teaching teams thanks to the mobility of 14 teachers (7+7). The pupils exchanged postcards, videos and photos. The parents of the pupils will attend the planned presentations and the university partners will provide theoretical input and perspective.

Concrete achievements: -The multilingual kamishibaï produced by the CP-CE1 and CE2 classes - Photo portraits of the 43 CE2-CM1 pupils Each pupil was photographed with a symbolic object and told why they had chosen it. - Exhibition on family trees: Each child chose what to show and what not to show, with a personal choice of graphics, making each tree unique. The Italian art project: The artists offered the pupils workshops to create intuitive maps of their neighbourhoods, using colours to help them associate the different dimensions of life and the emotional states associated with different parts of the neighbourhood. A video shows the stages and results of the project. - The two exchange visits between education professionals, which resulted in 5 presentation documents: 2 on the project's actions and 3 more pedagogical ones on the learning of multilingualism in partnership with the University of Saint Etienne, the IFE and the University of Bologna.
