This project educated students about sustainable development issues through concrete actions. These actions led students to become aware of their impact on their school, their city, their partners, Europe, and the planet, in line with the European Union Charter 2021-2027. The project strengthened the sense of European belonging and encouraged civic engagement. Transnational meetings contributed greatly to this. The schools participated in the "Erasmus Days." Temporary exhibitions were organized throughout the project. We worked with several local partners. Improved digital and language skills were achieved through the following activities: exchange of environmental data, correspondence, creation of online magazines, digital media, and shared videos. The students developed their critical thinking skills: faced with a problem: how to reduce our impact on the environment (garden, air quality, food, transport), they proposed concrete solutions, tested using the scientific method.

Our activities raised students' awareness of sustainable development issues to encourage their civic engagement in the fight against global warming and to develop shared European values, while strengthening their language and digital skills, as well as collaborative work. Sustainable Development: In the Czech Republic, students took a first scientific look at their daily ecological impact. They defined sustainable development goals. Food and Sustainable Development: In France, students researched and tested concrete solutions to limit food waste and reduce their ecological footprint. Gardening: Each student created an eco-garden. Erasmus Days: Students presented their work to the local community and partners, thus promoting and disseminating to a wider audience the schools' commitment and influence in a European project. Dystopia and Utopia in Future Cities: Students presented utopian and dystopian visions of cities in English, based on the same sequence in all three countries. Our future cities: students built and presented models of smart cities.

The project resulted in numerous concrete achievements. School gardens were created in each country, accompanied by models of sustainable cities designed by the students. Several digital magazines were published (link here). Schools organized Erasmus Days, participated in the Fête de la Nature, World Water Day, Sustainable Development Week, and Soft Mobility Week. In France, all fifth-grade students worked on the skill of "knowing how to ride a bike." A sweeping day was organized simultaneously in all three countries. The project also led to the installation of temporary and permanent exhibitions on Europe and the Erasmus project. Students hosted radio shows, built weather stations, bird shelters, a connected air quality sensor, and installed aquaponics kits after experiments. The plans were shared among partners, strengthening the project's technical and scientific collaboration. Students and staff were also interviewed in the three countries by local newspapers, requiring prior writing and synthesis work.
