▶Objectives
We wanted to ensure that students develop a deeper understanding of the concept of food security and the role that regional and local food systems can play in ensuring food availability, sustainability, and affordability. This includes: Highlighting the environmental and economic benefits of consuming regional products. Helping students identify the challenges of global food systems and over-reliance on imported goods. Encouraging critical reflection on their own food consumption habits. The project aimed to provide students with practical, transferable knowledge and skills related to: Sustainable food production (e.g., gardening, permaculture, zero-waste cooking). Ecological consumption and responsible consumer behavior. Marketing regional products using digital tools and entrepreneurship approaches. By equipping students with these skills, we also wanted to promote employability and lifelong learning. we also wanted to foster intercultural dialogue and Mutual understanding, promote inclusion by engaging learners from diverse backgrounds, develop and disseminate a practical Marketing Plan for regional products and contribute to the Erasmus+ Priorities.

1. Understanding the Concept of Food Security and Affordability We began by introducing the core concepts of food security, sustainability, and affordability. Students participated in interactive workshops, debates, and research assignments to explore the causes and consequences of food insecurity, both globally and in their local contexts. Teachers guided students in analyzing the links between food production, environmental challenges, and social inequalities. Pupils also reflected on their own food habits and consumption choices, setting the stage for further inquiry. Mapping of Regional Products and Identification of Common Products Each partner school worked with students to identify and research regional food products specific to their local culture and economy. Promotion and Marketing of Regional Products With the support of teachers and local stakeholders, students explored marketing strategies for promoting sustainable and locally sourced food. Designing a Joint Marketing Campaign This collaborative phase brought students from the three countries together—both virtually and during international exchanges—to design and implement a shared marketing campaign.
