Réseau européen des professionnels de la mobilité inclusive et durable

We applied for this project to address two needs identified with European stakeholders: overcoming the lack of knowledge about inclusive mobility in Europe and initiating a network to share innovative practices. This project compares Wimoov's experience in France with Belgian (Responsible Young Drivers Vlaanderen and Wallonie-Bruxelles) and Spanish (Fondation Ibercaja) stakeholders. Each partner offers complementary solutions: Wimoov supports vulnerable groups towards sustainable mobility; Belgian partners contribute with its expertise in road safety and active travel through new technologies; the Ibercaja Foundation focuses on transforming the industry towards environmentally-friendly mobility. The project is designed to help professionals develop the skills they need to provide effective support to people in precarious situations, and to build up a common framework of knowledge. This will eventually be able to carry out studies on mobility practices in Europe. The ambition of a European network makes up for the lack of transnational cooperation and opens the way to shared innovations, making inclusive, responsible and sustainable mobility a real collective challenge.

By implementing this project, we aimed to strengthen inclusive and sustainable mobility across Europe. Our primary goal was to promote professional skill development through a European network, sharing knowledge, innovative practices, and resources to support vulnerable groups like new arrivals, jobseekers, and those on minimum social benefits facing mobility challenges. We also sought to establish a common knowledge base on inclusive and sustainable mobility, a key factor for social and professional inclusion. Access to mobility aids in employment and social integration. The project contributed to the “Inclusion and diversity in education” objective through best practice exchanges. Additionally, we help ensure that ‘sustainable mobility’ is at the heart of the partners' activities by raising awareness of environmental impacts and promoting respectful modes of transport, such as walking, cycling and public transport. Finally, the project created a space for mutual learning to develop skills, innovate, and deepen knowledge of inclusive and sustainable mobility ecosystems, addressing the sector's priorities for innovation and training adaptation.
