Objectives

Mobility in Europe within the framework of work-study programmes is now a major challenge, both educational and economic, as well as strategic. It is therefore a powerful lever for the development of cross-disciplinary skills, in particular: •autonomy, adaptability and intercultural management; •communication in a multilingual professional context; •understanding of European working environments. Work-study mobility enables work-study students to: •compare their knowledge with foreign professional practices; •develop a culture of quality and innovation; •and acquire a European perspective on professions. It promotes: •student mobility within the single market; •networking and the transfer of know-how between European companies; •and innovation in vocational training (learning about European technologies, processes and regulations). We wanted to mobilise the academic community, and more specifically teachers and students in the field of art history, in order to develop this (dual) system coupled with European mobility.

Activities

Two types of activities were carried out: - development of European master's level training programmes in the field of art history. - identification, mobilisation and training of mobility experts with expertise in dual training.

Impact

We were able to: - initiate the process of signing 5 Erasmus agreements between Spanish, Italian and French universities, forming the basis of the partnership to develop dual training. - trial and thus enable the mobility of 13 students on short-term mobility programmes for dual training (acquisition of professional skills enhanced by mobility). - create a network between institutions, training programmes, teachers and managers of this scheme. - ensure the production of sustainable deliverables (agreements, network of referents).
