▶Objectives
Good Job! aims to support the transition of young people with learning disabilities and difficulties from school to adulthood and employment. The projects enables educators to identify the potential and difficulties in young people, then empowers them as Transition Mentors to support the young people through coaching and mentoring and finally reaches out and facilitates sustainable and inclusive transition policies between VET and school education institutions and socially responsible employers.
▶Activities
The partnership uses a robust management plan, including a system for quality assurance, impact evaluation and dissemination strategies to first research and prepare the content of a competence Assessment tool. Secondly, the partnership introduces adapted coaching and mentoring techniques and trains educators to become Transition Mentors. Finally, schools and employers are supported to work together on transition solutions for the target group. All outputs are tested, finalized and disseminated.
▶Impact
This project will have created an Assessment Tool of employability competences and life skills of young people with disabilities, which then directs educators to use an adapted Coaching and Mentoring Programme to boost learners’ employability. Finally, to enhance transition policies in training institutions and inclusion in workplaces a Transition Mentor’s Toolkit and Sustainability Pack for organisations are designed to facilitate the inter-institutional application of the Good Job! approach.
