Let's adapt to global warming with cool islands !

RE-FRESH addresses one of the Eramus+ program policy priorities, Environmental Sustainability and fight against Climate Change, plus two specific ones of the VET sector, contributing to innovation and increasing the flexibility of opportunities. To achieve these goals, project partners will mitigate global warming effects in urban areas by enabling trainers and trainees to increase their skills, by supplementing existing syllabus and by creating a global paedagogical scenario on Cool islands.

To identify the competences related to the creation of a Cool island, the partnership will build 3 of them : 2 within the training centers (France and Spain) and 1 in an area proposed by a municipality (Turkey). The architect agency together with the landscape agency (Portugal) will train and tutor the partners in the process. The training organizations will then develop specific modules for professionals as well a global paedagogical digital scenario with a multimodal version.

Any European organization will be able to create a Cool island thanks to the Guidelines produced in 5 languages (POR, FR, SP, TUR, ENG). Training centres will benefit from a training offer adapted to the climate situation with 2 modules, for building&landscape and maintenance professionals. A mutlimodal teaching scenario will be available and relevant tools will be inclusive (for dys- & deaf audiences). The users of the Cool islands will be sensitised in all languages in an inclusive way.
