โถObjectives
By implementing this project, we aimed to enhance youth engagement in both learning and eco-activism, while improving access to high-quality educational opportunities and strengthening the capacity of youth workers to deliver them. The project introduced eco-activism into the work of youth organisations, inspiring and equipping young people to become active climate advocates. It created a collaborative hub for climate actions, fostering connections between youth, organisations, and communities. Tangible results include comprehensive toolkits and guides on eco-activism and political participation, as well as an online platform enabling young people to establish and manage their own youth-led NGOs. These outputs met the overarching objectives but also provided long-term resources that will continue to empower young people in climate action. More specific targets and outcomes linked to each work package are detailed in the relevant sections of this report.
โถActivities
Our YEAEU project was implemented through four main work packages. We developed a Guide to Online Eco-Activism, including toolkits and a database to promote digital engagement. We carried out Political Climate Engagement activities, producing a step-by-step guide and organising workshops, roundtables, and campaigns linked to the EU agenda and elections. We facilitated the creation of youth-led climate NGOs, supported by an interactive online platform with training and resources, which enabled new youth initiatives. And lastly, we implemented a broad dissemination strategy, using social media, multiplier events in each partner country, and stakeholder outreach to maximise visibility and impact. These activities were supported by two transnational partner meetings in France and Italy, and two learning/training activities in Denmark and Portugal that strengthened cross-border cooperation. All in all, the activities enhanced youth activism, political participation, and organisational capacity across the partnership.
