▶Objectives
Through the implementation of this project, we aimed to enhance the capacities of vocational education by developing an innovative module based on PBL.The goal was to empower both learners and educators—not only in applying the PBL methodology but also in fostering a sustainable learning environment. The project sought to equip students with the ability to develop business ideas that address the ecological, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability. The project aimed to strengthen awareness of individual and collective responsibility towards the environment, promote social inclusion, and prepare learners for the demands of green and sustainable entrepreneurship.Given that the vocational education sector often lags behind in addressing social and environmental priorities due to the dominant economic perspective of the labour market, our objective was to integrate Sustainable Entrepreneurship Education into the regular teaching process. The project activities were focused on developing a contemporary educational approach through which sustainability-related content was implemented into educational institutions.By doing so, the project supported the development of green and environment responsible entrepreneurship.
▶Activities
The implementation of the project encompassed a series of carefully planned activities aimed at achieving the defined project objectives. In the initial phase, a kick-off meeting was organised to establish collaborative relationships and define the activity plan and timeline for the realisation of project results. One of the key activities was the implementation of the LTTA, during which participants acquired knowledge and skills in the field of Project-Based Learning and the integration of sustainable entrepreneurship into the educational context. A comprehensive training programme was developed, consisting of four thematic modules on sustainable entrepreneurship, intended for teachers, lecturers, and mentors in the field of vocational education and training VET.As part of the project, a TPM was also held at the partner organisation in Türkiye. Additionally, a digital booklet was created, showcasing best practices in sustainable and socially responsible business from the partner countries and other EU member states. In the final phase of the project, a pilot implementation of the training programme was carried out in educational institutions, which provided valuable insights and feedback for its further improvement.
▶Impact
The project resulted in the development of an innovative educational module titled 'Sustainable Entrepreneurship Education' (Result-1), specifically tailored for use in vocational schools, as well as a digital booklet of best practices in sustainable entrepreneurship across Europe (Result-2). Through the project, participants enhanced their knowledge and awareness of the ecological, social, and economic dimensions of sustainable development. Teachers were empowered to implement the Project-Based Learning approach. As part of the project, an LTT activity was carried out, during which participants acquired knowledge and skills focused on project-based learning and the integration of entrepreneurship development programmes into educational institutions. The educational programmes were piloted as planned and subsequently evaluated to ensure their alignment with real-world needs. The evaluation conducted among both teachers and students demonstrated the module’s positive impact and provided a solid foundation for its future implementation and further development. The project contributed to the education of environmentally conscious young entrepreneurs and supported the objectives of the European Green Deal.
