▶Objectives
By implementing this project we want to: - promote lifelong dimension of learning in the field of seafarers’ education, - enhance the certification and recognition of short learning programmes for seafarers leading to micro-credentials, - improve educational and training programmes of seafarers in line with individual needs and expectations, - build synergies among higher education institutions’, seafarers, shipping companies and maritime training centres’ perspective.
▶Activities
Activities we are going to implement: - Research related to the number, types, content and duration of the short-learning programmes for seafarers’ - Research related to the higher education institutions that carry out undergraduate studies, i.e. on their politics and curriculum. - Research related to the role of training centres in the recognition of micro-credentials. - Research related to the internationalisation and recognition of micro-credentials in seafarer education.

- Enhancing the attractiveness of seafarers’ education. - Recommend standard for recognition of short learning programmes for seafarers by promoting the awarding of micro-credentials. - Development of two training programme and improved competencies of employees in maritime training centres and maritime higher institutions. - Validation of competencies acquired through short learning programmes. - Strengthening education providers’ engagement with key stakeholders.
