โ–ถObjectives

The project will contribute to a higher level of civic competence and civic participation among youth. This will be achieved by: i) raising the level of knowledge among youth and youth NGOs/NGOs working with youth about civic education in VET schools; and ii) by strengthening the capacity of youth NGOs working with youth to advocate for improvements in the area.

โ–ถActivities

Research activities: i) a comparative analysis on how Civic Education is taught in 7 vocational education and training systems across the EU; ii) three case studies (Croatia, Free State of Thuringia in Germany, Romania). Advocacy materials: three well-supported and evidence-based position/advocacy documents. Dissemination: i) 6 roundtables (2 per partner country); ii) 3 presentations to civil platforms on an international level, iii) campaign leading to at least 50 media appearances.

โ–ถImpact

Project partners will be able to distinguish and critically evaluate different European approaches to teaching civic education in vocational schools. They will also have a deeper understanding of the situation in their national VET systems. They will have developed clear advocacy positions and commenced with elaborated dissemination towards key audiences: youth/NGOs working with youth, European civic platforms, decision makers and experts of different affiliations.
