Objectives

The project aims to empower young people from disadvantaged (Roma, refugee, immigrant) and majority societies to take responsibility as responsible citizens to reduce social inequalities through diversity and inclusion. We want to achieve that within the framework of a systems approach, young people would become agile in their ability to deliver inclusive childcare and to connect with children's teachers and parents, whose impact on children's lives is inescapable.

Activities

T4I will involve disadvantaged and majority young people and professionals in three countries to deliver an inclusive training session, during which young people will be trained to deliver an 8 sessions long inclusive intervention for children. The sessions aim to ensure that disadvantaged and majority children experience the benefits of inclusion and diversity in an inclusive environment. The intervention also includes meetings between young people and the children's teachers and parents.

Impact

The results of the project will be the publication and testing of an inclusive training material on an e-learning platform and the production of a toolkit for young people containing good practices on how to run inclusive children's groups. A handbook will be produced summarising the methodology, which can be implemented for other professionals and organisations. The project will include scientific measurement of the methodology and the results will be integrated into the handbook.
