To increase the internal capacity of the 8 partners To create a cohesive suite of training resources on menstruation and sustainability building upon work done to date in the field, incorporating elements found to be the most effective in existing programmes, and scaled up for use on an EU level To raise awareness of single use plastic waste from menstruation in line with the legislative requirements in the Single Use Plastics Directive (2019) To combat period poverty & promote gender equality

Identify best practices and existing resources in reusable menstrual item education across the consortium and internationally Undertake review of narratives around menstruation in 8 partner countries to include a youth survey Engage with Advisory Council of youth leaders and young people Develop the training resources, course content and supporting materials and translate into 7 languages Pilot the training programme with 160 youth leaders Evaluate the training programme Finalise the program

Increased capacity within the partners The production of a training program ‘Menstruation: Empowerment and Sustainability’, suitable for training youth leaders across the EU to become ambassadors for sustainable menstrual protection At least 80 youth leaders committed to holding a training for the youth they work within 1 year of completing the course 200,000 people across Europe with raised awareness of menstrual health, period poverty and reusable menstrual items, through our media campaign
