▶Objectives
The JobReady project is conceived as a transnational cooperation project between 5 partners from 5 countries, aimed to fill the gap between the labour market demands and the skills supply in the hospitality sector by developing an innovative and customised short course program, targeting those not in employment (including migrants and disadvantaged people) but seeking to acquire relevant job skills through undertaking specific work-related training in hospitality operations.
▶Activities
We will design, develop and validate a 4-month training course in hospitality operations, half of which is delivered in a classroom environment and half as an internship at a local business from the hospitality sector. We will then train 9 trainers to be able to deliver the course and will enroll 90 people with fewer opportunities and from disadvantaged backgrounds to be trained and equipped with the relevant vocational skills and competences.
▶Impact
-90 beneficiaries directly benefiting from the project by taking part in the pilot training. -Enhanced competences to perform day-to-day service-oriented activities, including understanding the hospitality sector operations cycle from food and beverage, through housekeeping to business acumen and communication. -Higher employability among people with fewer opportunities and from disadvantaged background -Filling the skill demand gap in the hospitality sector.
