▶Objectives
The project's main objective was to establish clear and practical guidelines for smart working, with the aim of preventing and reducing technostress resulting from the blurring of the line between professional and private life.
▶Activities
In order to accomplish this objective, the subsequent activities were meticulously orchestrated: - Create a project-dedicated website; Define and distribute a 'dual-purpose' guide for workers and employers containing procedures, checklists and practical suggestions for organising agile work, ensuring breaks, well-defined boundaries and paths to individual empowerment. Develop a Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) to allow employees and HR teams to measure their level of digital self-discipline, identify early signs of overload and take preventive action. Produce a comparative regulatory appendix (Italy – Portugal) to provide a clear legal framework and immediate reference tools to bring company practices into line with current laws and reduce uncertainty in their application.
▶Impact
Creation of a new branch of corporate welfare. This is dedicated to the health of agile workers. The tools developed provide companies with operational guidelines. They also provide companies with policies. These policies are to be included in their corporate welfare platforms. Promotion of a more responsible and efficient smart working culture: thanks to SAT and the guide, employees and managers have become aware of the importance of setting limits and of self-organisation, shifting the focus from hours worked to concrete results.
