Objectives

EXTOR aims to support the sustainable development of rural areas through the promotion of experiential forms of tourism and the adoption of environmentally sustainable solutions, upskilling rural entrepreneurs, to limit people’s outflows to urban areas, create new multi-actor communication, digital marketing and networking channels, increase VET providers/trainers’ capacity to adapt their training offer to current and future needs of economy and society, strengthening their resilience.

Impact

Sustainable approaches to rural development will be fostered, thanks to enhanced EU exchange of success stories and stronger awareness of current trends in rural tourism, which will contribute to VET offer renewal through a common framework, a customised online training programme and a kit for VET providers, supporting the upskilling of rural entrepreneurs. New multi-actor channels for improved communication, networking and digital marketing will emerge, ensuring the project sustainability.
