DiTwin - Digital Twin for VET schools

The main project objective is to improve the effectiveness of VET curricula for achieving the competencies needed by Industry 4.0. The project intends to bridge the gap in the facilities and machinery of VET schools by exploiting the potential of Digital Twin technology, a new technology actually used by Industry 4.0.

The partnership, including 7 partners coming from 5 different partner countries (Learnable and Digital Smart in Italy, PTA and University of Malaga in Spain, Training Vision in Ireland, Pedagogical University of Krakow in Poland and Innovation Frontiers in Greece), will produce an integrated system (modules, DiTwin System, supporting materials and training paths) to support VET teachers in implementing Digital Twin-based activities at school.

The partnership will create a) the DiTwin Modules and online system aligning VET practices to industry 4.0 needs and b) the DiTwin Backpack for VET teachers including supporting tools, resources and teachers’ training events. It will enable VET teachers and schools to provide practical and experiential learning at distance. The project will implement training activities, demo events and testing phases which will involve 234 VET teachers and 200 students.
