The MAGIC project aimed to strengthen the social and economic inclusion of migrants while improving the competences of the practitioners and volunteers who support them. Our main objectives were to: Promote civic participation, by collecting good practices that encourage migrants to engage in associations, volunteering and community life, fostering mutual understanding with local citizens. Support language learning, through tools and methods adapted to adults with different literacy levels, improving communication and interaction with host communities. Encourage entrepreneurial skills, by documenting migrant-led business experiences and mapping support services, in order to promote pathways towards autonomy and employment. Equip operators and volunteers with a practical toolkit covering civic, linguistic and entrepreneurial dimensions of integration, enhancing their professional skills. Foster intercultural dialogue and European values, reducing prejudice, preventing marginalisation and strengthening social cohesion across partner countries.

The project was implemented through six main activities: First, management and coordination ensured smooth communication, budget monitoring and risk management across all partners. We then developed three didactic modules forming the core of the MAGIC Toolkit: Module 1 (Civic participation): collected 12 best practices of migrant engagement in associations and volunteering, plus case studies of migrant-led organisations. Module 2 (Language learning): compiled methods and activities to support adult migrants with different literacy levels, tested in real contexts. Module 3 (Entrepreneurial competences): researched migrant business experiences and existing support services, transforming them into practical training tools. A Joint Staff Training Event was held in Italy in April 2025, where practitioners piloted and validated the modules with migrants and colleagues. Finally, dissemination and evaluation activities included local events in each partner country, materials on the Project Results Platform and posts on social media, reaching more than 200 stakeholders among 4 project partners.

The main tangible output was the MAGIC Toolkit, structured in three modules: (1) civic participation, containing 12 good practices and case studies of migrant-led associations; (2) language learning, with methodologies and activities adapted to adults with different literacy levels; and (3) entrepreneurial competences, including examples of migrant businesses and a map of support services. The Toolkit was tested with groups of migrants and operators in all partner countries and is now freely available online. The first tangible result of the project was the development of the toolkit "Magic" comprising three modules. Other results included the Joint Staff Training Event in Italy, where practitioners validated and refined the modules, and a series of dissemination activities in each partner country, reaching over 200 stakeholders. The project also strengthened the competences of more than 40 practitioners and volunteers, improved cooperation between the four organisations, and increased awareness in local communities of the positive role of migrant participation, language learning and entrepreneurship for social cohesion.
