Objectives

HEALTH AND WELLNESS POINT 3 - Agenda 2030 We aimed to educate people who were aware of the risk of living digitally dependent and influenced by social media, time spent online, and the resulting loss of concentration. QUALITY EDUCATION ITEM 4 - Agenda 2030 It has been an innovative project having the purpose of creating a critical and conscious spirit in young people. In the era of DIGITAL DISTRACTIONS, we worked to have future workers MORE ABLE AND FREE FROM DIGITAL DISTRACTIONS that can affect their concentration. This project will also benefit companies with employees who will be more focused in their work .The project explored the opportunities of the Web, show interesting sites and constructive interactions, but it also motivated students to cultivate their interests outside the Web: music, sports, friends, art, because Internet cannot replace real life.The project also involved students' parents. The students involved developed critical thinking through an in-depth study of information,disinformation and misinformation that helped them analyze news from a deeper, more responsible and expert. Activities

This project has been the ideal prosecution of the eTwinning awarded project "Social media expectation".The project has seen the implementation of various activities at local level in each country of the project and two mobilities of students in Italy and Spain from the schools involved. The reflection had a multidisciplinary approach. Among the main activities implemented: Collaborative Workshops with all schools and partners involved; workshops on Social media influence; workshops on Digital addictions; Digital detox programme Mobility to Italy; Physical educational programme with an Erasmus sports day including physical activities with local sport associations; creation of a screenplay; 3-days creative camp "Young protagonists", with the recording of a short film based on disconnection; Mobility to Spain, with the creation of the final e-book; webinar and public conference “Cervelli digitali”; Network to grow, with a workshop on the reflection and education on how to use social media in a virtuous way. The activities allowed the start of a shared reflection with schools, MIM, ISS, Umbria Region and with the other organizations involved in the project at local level in Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and Spain.

Impact

Outputs: Dedicated website, which gives the whole view of the project and results, narrating the project in its various stages accompanying the public as if on a journey; ON LIFE digital and print book in partner country languages and English offered for reading by families and school staff; Screenplay written by students and consequently a short film in which the students themselves are the actors; European surveys that take a snapshot of the current situation regarding the relationship between youth/adults and cell phones and digital reality in general; European surveys that report the eating and physical habits of young people; DIGITAL BRAINS conference and webinar with participation of many schools in the local and national area; Report of the Erasmus sport days implemented with the involvement of local sport clubs and associations. Outcomes : development of students’ critical thinking, empathic behaviour, hard skills and soft skills; improvement of students’ ability to manage distractions and maximise concentration in study and work time; promotion of a shared reflection among European students on the conscious use of social networks and the influence that the virtual dimension imposes on their on their lives.
