โ–ถObjectives

The development of DanceCARE educational program will contribute to a holistic approach to education and training in a lifelong learning perspective. The main objectives are to reduce burden and depression usually associated with Long-Term care duties and to improve networking between informal and formal caregivers. A blended and innovative training,focused on Dance Movement Therapy and Wise Motion methods for stress relief, will be tested and widely used both nationally and on a larger scale.

โ–ถActivities

The main activities will be: the development, application and testing of an innovative mind-body training program for caregiver relief; the launch of self-help groups for peer sharing and learning and for networking between different types of caregivers; the creation of the e-learning platform and chat, to allow tools for learning and personal growth through DMT to be constantly at hand; the dissemination and exploitation of the results, through EU platforms, publications, Multiplier Events.

โ–ถImpact

We expect that the program, developed by adopting specific guidelines for trainers and then tested in 3 countries of the Mediterranean area, will create: an effective reduction of the care burden and depressive aspects in the participants; an improvement in the quality of life of the elderly; networking both among the caregivers and among professional associations of DMT and WM; an upgrade and exploitation of training programmes at both national and EU level, also through the use of EPALE.
