▶Objectives
The Overall objective is to Empower young people along the Balkan route to foster a narrative on migration consistent with the EU values of unity, solidarity and non-discrimination. Three specific objectives shall allow to meet it: 1 Increasing youth awareness on the many aspects of migration 2 Enhancing youth engagement on migrants’ inclusion in four EU regions along the Balkan route 3 Increase youth participation particularly those with migrant background in policy-making on migratory issues
▶Activities
The implementation strategy is articulated in four Work packages 1. Coordination and management. 2. Awareness raising, mobilization and trainings of both young people and multiplier agents at local level. 3. Youth civic engagement for the inclusion of young people with migrant background at local and EU level, through non-formal and informal methodologies. 4. Youth Democratic participation in policy making on migratory issues from local to EU level, through formal and non-formal mechanisms.
▶Impact
It is expected to - Halve the % of Young people reached by partners and their workers who endorse a polarized vision. - Double the share of youth workers and educators skilled for the inclusion of people with migrant background. - Engage the youth in migration mainstreaming in youth centers and spaces reached by partners. - Introduce new non-formal mechanisms for democratic participation (Focus groups) on migratory issues were formal ones (Youth councils) are absent in four EU municipalities.
