▶Objectives
The objectives of the Project were established and achieved: 1. to strengthen preschool teachers' methodological skills and to expand the space of learning outside the classroom by making a set of online maps "STEAM on foot." 2. to encourage every child's decision-making skills and the active participation of children with special needs in STEM activities by creating a Practical Handbook of STEAM maps and itineraries (activities). 3. to increase multicultural awareness and the European dimension in partners' schools by enhancing future collaboration among the project partners.
▶Activities
The project started with the building project teams and establishing project centers at partners' schools. We organized two "Welcome STEAM partners" Zoom meetings (for the project teams from partners' schools for the pupils involved in the project). Two meetings were organized in the partners' schools to guarantee the smooth implementation of the project. A workshop in Portugal "STEAM to EVERY child" was organized. Teachers (a team of special education teachers, psychologists and preschool teachers) learned how to adapt STEAM to outdoor activities for children with special needs and fewer opportunities. 12 educational projects were organized for the children to represent the cultures of the project countries. 20 educational projects on Science, Technologies, Engineering, Arts and Math were organized for the pupils of the participating schools to create STEAM maps and Guideline. 6 pupils online meetings were organized during the project. Summer STEAM camps at participating schools were organized in 2024. The project activities were published on the project website: https://www.steamonfoot.com/activities/
