Objectives

The main aim of the Trained Worldwide Painters project is to support training in the painting and construction industry by providing micro-credentials content tailored to EQF3 level, most adequate to the sector’s needs. This involves enhancing the professional and language skills of migrants currently residing in European countries. The project also seeks to address the shortage of skilled workers in this sector by offering a digital tool that can assist them both during their training and in their daily work. Additionally, the project aims to provide educators and trainers with guidelines for implementing micro-credentials in their training courses, focusing on topics that are currently relevant to the sector.

Activities

Twelve micro-credentials have been created, each lasting between 12 and 30 hours, available on the InPaint Platform in English, Italian, Greek, Spanish, and French. The training modules aim to improve knowledge and skills while also fostering the soft skills necessary to manage typical situations on construction sites. A checklist for monitoring learning outcomes linked to each micro-credential has been devised to help learners evaluate their understanding of the subject. A questionnaire for companies to assess the need for the training, a questionnaire for learners to evaluate the training, a questionnaire for company tutors to assess the quality of the training, and an evaluation of the Trained Worldwide Painters micro-credential system have also been developed. Furthermore, a form outlining the accreditation requirements for institutions offering micro-credential training has been prepared. This form specifies the basic tools that institutions, associations, and schools need to deliver quality training. All these resources are complemented by a digital tool, PaintMeApp, designed for learners, professionals, and migrants to enhance their technical and linguistic knowledge in the fields of construction and painting.
