Objectives

The main objectives of implementing this project are to establish a strong partnership between Latvian and Estonian stakeholders in the automotive repair industry and to identify and incorporate the most relevant skills for the automotive repair sector that are not yet included in current professional qualification standards. To support this objective, the project also focuses on developing explanatory materials what will be valuable resources for vocational schools and industry professionals, providing guidance on handling electric vehicle repair. The rapid technological advancements in environmentally friendly vehicle technologies and digitalization necessitate a workforce that can adapt to evolving labor market demands. By strengthening cooperation between vocational schools and businesses, the initiative promotes a more dynamic and responsive education system, ensuring that students possess the necessary skills for a rapidly changing labor market​.

Activities

The project aims to establish a partnership between Latvian and Estonian stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange. By incorporating industry-relevant skills into vocational education and developing explanatory materials on professional duties and safety, we help ensure that future professionals have the necessary skills to adapt to the changing labor market. This initiative enhances education quality and fosters a safer work environment​. The project addresses the urgent need for aligning vocational education with the evolving requirements of the automotive repair industry.
