Objectives

The overall objective was the creation of a supportive community, business environment and proactive youth by project management skills training. Specifically, the ultimate objective was the upskiling the young students from vocational high schools into practical (hands-on) skills for project management and project cycle management. Furthermore, the project had the objective and exposing and thus, inspiring, the participating high schools (and its teachers) to implement the project cycle management into their curriculum, provided has a positive bureaucratic support, while providing a support network of experienced teachers, instructional designers and trainers, as well as, practical know-how in project management.

Activities

The project was implemented through six set of activities - starting by (1) creating the training program (instructional design) and equipping the team with trainers and support. (2) issued a public call for participation and selected 20 participants (two groups of 10 per country, with group composition of 8 students and 2 professors/teachers). (3) delivered a three day workshop for project management skills in Skopje with all of the selected participants. (4) Equipped the participants with information, support and resources while providing mentorship and guidance during the developing and implementation of two micro projects in their respective country/location. (5) organized a joint conference where the two separate groups presented their respective micro projects while accenting the lessons learned.(6) updated the training materials based on the lessons learned in the delivery of the microprojects as well as the specific participant feedback provided.

Impact

1. Training Materials: a. Training program and agenda developed in three working languages: English, Serbian, and Macedonian. b. Handbook created in Macedonian language (in process of ISBN) c. Handouts prepared in Macedonian and Serbian 2. Workshop plan developed with detailed structure and methodology. a. Exercises designed in alignment with the workshop plan, available in all working languages. b. PowerPoint presentations prepared in Macedonian and Serbian for use by trainers during workshops. 3.Digital Resources: a. A web page was developed and hosted for dissemination and promotion of project results: http://cfpm-erasmus.eu/. 4. Participant Engagement: a. 10 participants per country selected from vocational high schools (8 students and 2 professors per group). 5. Workshops and Training: a. Delivered a three-day workshop focused on project management skills through experiential learning (hands-on approach). b. Conducted a brainstorming session with participants to develop micro-project ideas. c. Monitored and mentored the implementation of two micro-projects by participants. 6. Conferences and Dissemination: a. Organized a two-day joint conference in Serbia to disseminate micro-project results and share lessons learned
