Objectives

In implementing the project, the partnership aimed to achieve the following goals: Raise the knowledge of target groups on topics related to the Circular Economy through the development and dissemination of relevant educational content developed through the partnership. Initiate - at different levels and among diverse social groups - discussions and reflections that will result in citizens taking individual actions and decisions that contribute the Circular Economy. Improve the ecological skills of target groups. Make citizens incorporate the six simple rules of the circular economy - refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, recycle, rot - into their daily habits. Encourage active citizenship and grassroots action through participation and the use of ICT tools. Exchange knowledge, experience and know-how through learning best practices, cooperation with experts, networking with organizations and institutions. Improve partners' skills in managing international projects and working together on results. Introduce the subject of Circular Economy into partners curricula, equip trainers and educators with this knowledge. Disseminate the subject to the general public through ICT.

Activities

The partners carried out all of the project's planned activities: 3 international meetings of the project partners, which made the partnership compatible, creative, effective. 3 international seminars attended by 135 people and 16 experts discussing and debating the environmental challenges of the 21st century. 23 local workshops were held for target groups, attended by 466 people - representatives of local organizations and communities, officials, teachers, students, local producers. The content of the workshop was tailored to the needs of the participants. 3 published editions of the Newsletter, describing events during the international meetings. 16 best practice examples were visited in partner countries. 8 exhibitions of educational posters were organized, it is estimated that more than 800 people viewed them. More than 30 informational meetings were held with representatives of the local administration and local organizations. New contacts were established with 40 organizations and institutions thus building a network of cooperation. Project activities and information on the circular economy were disseminated through websites and social media, reaching an estimate of 5000 people.

Impact

The project results were educational materials published in the partners' languages and in English, available on the partners' websites, social media and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform (PDF to download). The "6R for CE" guide (B5) informing about destructive effects of the linear economy, the necessity to transition to a circular economy and the 6 Rules. It was printed for the needs of the workshops. 10 posters (B2) with photos and a short text - nine of which illustrate the issue of CE. The tenth poster shows good practices and initiatives in the country of a given partner. The posters were used during workshops, seminars and events. The guide on useful practices in partner countries contains 15 examples with photos and brief description. 4 videos posted on YT; three of them tell about the work of the partnership, one is an animation on the 6 Rules of the Circular Economy. It is a simple and easy-to-understand message for every social group. 27 expert presentations that discuss various aspects of the circular economy, including waste management, energy from waste, composting waste, changing consumer habits. The partners calculated that they reached more than 1,500 people directly with knowledge about the circular economy
