Objectives

Our most important goal was to teach students what sustainable development is and how to live sustainably. We wanted to, and in our opinion, we succeeded in instilling in our students a lifelong love of nature, as well as a sense of responsibility for their land and community. Through the project we wanted to achieve the following goals: - reducing the purchase of things, - promoting environmentally friendly means of transport, - promoting ecological awareness, - reducing the waste of energy sources by saving energy, - reducing the use of rubbish/plastic, - reducing the carbon footprint, - promoting the love of nature (eco-tours), - establishing contacts with other people outside the school, - communicating in English, - learning about the culture of the partner countries. We managed to achieve these goals.

Activities

During the 18 months of cooperation, 3 physical and 2 virtual meetings were held. 1 Pollution - virtual meeting - prepared and conducted by the Polish school. 2 Focuses on biodiversity and its protection. - Physical meeting in Poland. 3 Recycling - second life of waste - virtual meeting - prepared and conducted by the Turkish school. 4 Waste reduction. Physical meeting in Turkey. 5 Deeper understanding of the topic - Sustainable development. Physical meeting in Norway. Students participated in cultural and ecological trips, took part in workshops (e.g. meeting with an employee of the Sławno Forest District - lecture). Participants of the meeting in the Polish school planted trees around the school. They also met with representatives of local authorities where they learned about local environmental problems and ways to solve them.
