▶Objectives
We wanted to raise awareness about the importance of ecology, sustainability, and the need to address environmental challenges. Our goal was to encourage students and their communities to adopt sustainable, healthy, and slow living practices that align with global sustainability goals like Agenda 2030. We aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and practical knowledge about gardening, plant cultivation, and the role of plants in the environment. By setting up school gardens and incorporating sustainable gardening practices, we wanted to equip students with the skills to grow their own food and take care of nature in a responsible way. By collaborating with schools from different European countries, we sought to promote cultural diversity and improve students’ communication skills in English. We also wanted to create a space for students to learn about gardening and plant life in various climates, such as Mediterranean plants like grapes and olives, as well as plants specific to Poland and other regions. We wanted to bridge the generational gap by involving both young students and retired individuals .
