Objectives

The main objective of the EMPE (Embodying Math&Physics Education) project was to improve the effectiveness of physics and mathematics teaching in primary and secondary schools. To achieve this, an innovative STEME (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Embodiment) approach was introduced. Specifically, the project objectives included: Methodological Transformation: Development and evaluation of innovative lesson plans and creation of dedicated software, prototypes, and later devices that allow for the learning of abstract concepts through movement, experience, and real-time visualisation. Educational Inclusion: Increasing the accessibility of knowledge and breaking down educational barriers, particularly for students experiencing difficulties and those with special educational needs (SEN), for whom traditional methods are insufficient. Digital Transformation: Developing the digital competences of teachers and students and creating open educational resources (OER), supporting the modernisation of education systems. The aim of the project was to create a sustainable and innovative methodology that would make STEM learning more engaging, understandable and effective for all students.
