Kształcenie i szkolenie dorosłych z zakresu wdrażania ESG mające na celu poniesienie kompetencji pracowników branży budowlanej

The project addressed the specific needs of the construction sector in terms of ESG implementation, which is becoming increasingly important in light of EU regulations and growing sustainability expectations. Construction companies, in Poland and Romania, are increasingly facing the challenges of ESG reporting and implementation, especially in the context of the European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainable finance. The project responded to the needs of companies affiliated with construction clusters, which signaled competence gaps in ESG. Analyses showed that there is a need to upskill employees to enable them to understand and effectively implement ESG solutions in their daily work. ESG implementation also contributes to improving the image of companies, which helps attract investors, increase competitiveness and improve relations with business partners. The project enabled the acquisition of ESG competencies, allowed to establish new international contacts, exchange knowledge and practices, and support the professional development of employees in a way that is in line with EU sustainability trends.

The main objective of the project was to meet common needs and priorities in the field of adult education and vocational training in the context of ESG implementation in the construction industry. In particular, the project aimed to: 1. increase the quality of work and practices in construction organizations by providing employees with practical ESG knowledge and competencies. 2. building the capacity of organizations for international and cross-sector cooperation - strengthening the capacity of participating organizations to undertake cooperation at the international level. 3. Strengthening the adaptive capacity of the construction sector to ESG regulations - in view of ESG-related regulatory changes in the European Union, the project aimed to prepare companies for upcoming requirements, such as ESG reporting obligations. 4. meeting current labor market needs - developing competencies that meet current trends in the construction industry. 5. promoting a pro-environmental approach and implementation of ESG in the day-to-day practices of construction companies - spreading the idea of ESG, supporting the pursuit of sustainable development and improving the image of companies as socially and environmentally responsible.
