Objectives

By project we want to achieve increasing the French language skills, knowledge of contemporary literature and promoting skills-oriented learning. It aims to respond to the lack of open access and easy available tools for the learning and teaching French at higher levels (i.e. from B2 upwards) considering foreign language as a vehicle for inter/pluri-cultural competence rather than as a subject to study. Our objective is to create an innovative learning tool based on contemporary literature .

Activities

The project consists of three recurring cycles. Each time an international group of students from Polish, Austrian and French universities is formed, who, together with tutors, will prepare tasks and linguistic and stylistic exercises based on contemporary literature. We are going to implant the activities like: online and live trainings, seminars with writers, networking meetings, student's mobility. The project incorporates green practices (on-line means, digital activities and publications).

Impact

The main outcomes of the project are a high-quality open-access language learning tool FLEvolution: educational platform hosted permanently on the University of Gdansk server, cultural and practical achievements for the participating students; and inclusive, future-oriented network for participating staff. The project is targeting about 300 active participants and estimated 1000 platform's users (students, university, secondary schools and colleges teachers, researchers, independent learners).
