▶Objectives
The project addressed the need to strengthen the competencies of academic teachers in advanced data analysis, with a specific focus on its application in transportation and mobility education. Rapid technological development and the growing availability of large and complex data sets have created a demand for teachers capable of applying modern analytical tools and methodologies in their teaching practice. Another identified need was to modernize existing teaching resources and align them with current trends in digitalization, data science, and smart mobility. Many teachers had limited opportunities to update their skills in these areas, which resulted in a gap between educational content and the evolving expectations of students and employers. The project responded to the need for improved digital readiness and teaching innovation in higher education. It provided opportunities for teachers to gain practical experience with analytical software and data-based teaching methods, while promoting more interactive and student-oriented learning. In addition, the project addressed the need for cross-institutional cooperation and exchange of good practices allowing for joint development of modern teaching materials in the STEM domain.
