▶Objectives
Our institutions have ongoing activities related to environmental issues as well as collaboration activities between different institutions as well as social responsibility projects for the inclusion of disadvantaged youth. ZESPÓŁ SZKÓŁ NR 1 has a variety of continuing practices on sustainable agriculture as well as protecting and promoting the spread of endemic plants . The school encourages collaboration among different institutions to gain different perspectives as well as the development of local and international social responsibility projects, which is listed as one of the indicators of quality. Embodying a sustainable development research laboratory, Colegio Salesiano San Juan Bosco has expertise in environment friendly and eco friendly architecture, the usage of natural materials in building and public space design (wood, clay, straw, stone), natural insulating materials, modern high-tech alternatives, and recycling. The school offers master studies on sustainable energy and environmental management. Nurmijärven lukio, has ongoing works and studies regarding sustainability and climate change as well as emphasizing the importance social responsibility. 4 work packages:The staff training activity will increase awareness of participants about environmental problems and their effects on human health and learn the basics of emphatic approach. realize the importance of their roles in the solution process and in the motivation of their students to be part of the process.online courses a guidebook for all educators, including teachers, trainers, youth workers, about the global environmental problems andthe role of education and educators in the solution process.WP3- Learn about other cultures, education systems and good practices, - Learn how to re-use waste materials, - Develop language competences, social skills, teamwork abilities, - Increase the visibility of the project, - Raise awareness on common environmental problems (pollution, limited sources, extinction of endemic species), - Make practical solution proposals to the problems, - Raise consciousness about the psychological and physiological problems caused by environmental problems and climate change, - Discover the basic green practices (renewable energy sources, sustainable agriculture and architecture, water harvesting), - Learn about the types of waste, the harmful effects of waste material on nature, - Learn and discover
▶Impact
The following project results clearly assure the sustainability of our project: 1. International Green Club This student's community will be founded in all partner school and will be in touch hopefully for many years. They will follow a common workplan throughout the year, continue disseminating the project results, work for increasing awareness on environmental problems, suggest solutions and share them with other students. They will plan activities and implement simultaneously, exchange results and continue collaboration. They will also get in touch with NGO's which were introduced during project activities and contribute to their works. 2. The online course 'Environmental Education' The course syllabus and materials will be available to the all faculties in the school. The key people, who has joined the staff training activity, will continue to provide this course once a year. All school staff and students in national schools will be invited to join the course. The partner schools will also add it as an elective course to their education programmes, as the course will be benefical for all students who are interested. The course materials will also be useful for those institutions who want to organize conferences on the topic. 3
