โถObjectives
The project aims to familiarize school students with the concept of IoT in the context of aspects of life like health monitoring, environmental protection, smart cities and home automation. As part of the project, school students will implement interdisciplinary projects according to the concept of IoT-based embedded systems. School students will develop their engineering skills and deepen their knowledge of STEM education. The project also focuses on the development of teachers' competences.
โถActivities
The project will develop: -IoT learning framework (identification of 21st century challenges where IoT solutions can be applied, define learning objectives and learning methodology). -Two technical guides for teachers on how to use IoT tools (Raspberry Pi; Microbit) and 6 interdisciplinary IoT projects. -4 Teacher training courses, 4 webinars and pilots in school classes in 2 rounds. -Online virtual collaboration portal for educators and learners to share their IoT projects. -Promotion events.
โถImpact
Expected project results: -Development of a comprehensive IoT curriculum in secondary schools for students aged 12-18 -Raising awareness among students of the challenges of the 21st century where IoT solutions can help -Enhance the engineering and digital skills of school students. -Training of secondary school teachers both from partner schools and from outside -Increasing the number of project-based classes in schools. -Establishing platform for sharing IoT projects and sharing IoT experiences
