Objectives

The project aims to develop, implement and maintain Augmented Reality-enriched science contents and experiments with all necessary supplementary documents and a web based active learning system for EU schools. Science teachers, students, schools and academicians will be able to benefit from project results. Effective technology integration in science education will be ensured and the project will be a best practice example for stakeholders in Europe.

Activities

Augmented Reality (AR) based learning environment that will support science teachers' science learning and teaching processes and bring science labs to students’ tablets or mobile phones. Such AR-enriched simulations are needed to make science education reachable-attractive and continue active learning. Main outputs of Augmented Science project: -Science Course Content-Scenario-Enriched Activities e-Book -AR-Enriched Experiments and Simulations -Web-based Active Learning System (WALS)

Impact

The project is based on the priority of 'how best to incorporate digital online technology into subject-specific teaching, training and learning'. It will create a capacity for science teachers and students in EU countries. A transnational approach is needed to define science courses content and scenarios and bring together academicians and teachers overall EU. LTT event also bring international dimension to the project having hands-on practices and pilot testing of AR platforms.
