▶Objectives
The main objectives we aimed to achieve were: - To increase knowledge of the European Union’s Environmental Policy; - To develop practical skills (e.g. planting, selective waste collection); - To promote artistic, linguistic, and digital competences; - To foster critical thinking, creativity, communication, and teamwork; - To raise awareness of the importance of natural resources and the need for sustainable practices; - To engage students in meaningful experiences that would strengthen their 21st-century skills and sense of active citizenship.
▶Activities
A wide range of activities was carried out, both in-person and virtually, including: - Various recycling workshops, including paper recycling for later use, nature walks, environmental clean-up actions, tree planting, and seed sowing in the school garden; - Composting of natural waste such as leaves and garden scraps, promoting circular economy practices; - Development of thematic work for each activity, using both physical formats (posters) and digital formats (presentations and videos); - Artistic activities using recycled materials; - Internal and public exhibitions showcasing the work carried out; - Creation and maintenance of a project website, as well as organisation of competitions and cultural presentations; - Regular online meetings and sharing of good practices among partners; - Celebration of thematic days such as World Water Day, Earth Day and Forest Week, with the active involvement of the school community.
▶Impact
Among the main results of the project were: - Increased environmental awareness among students, teachers, parents, and local communities; - Creation of both digital and physical products: videos, photographs, posters, ecological calendars, exhibitions, and presentations; - Development of practical, linguistic, and artistic competences; - Active involvement of the educational community and reinforcement of transnational partnerships; - Dissemination of results through the project website, eTwinning platform, and social media; - Commitment to keep the project website active for at least five years after the end of the project, ensuring continued access to the resources produced.
