The main objective of the project was to raise awareness about the importance of inclusion. We aimed to offer participants meaningful opportunities to acquire knowledge, develop attitudes and build competences that would enable them to actively combat discrimination and inequality. This learning process was intended to promote lasting changes in behaviour and mindset, encouraging participants to adopt inclusive practices in their daily lives. They came to understand that every individual deserved to be valued, respected and supported. Only through active citizenship could we foster the values, attitudes, commitment and skills necessary for each person to realise their full potential and contribute positively to society.

Throughout the project, we implemented a wide range of innovative and engaging activities specifically designed for teenagers and adapted to each subtopic related to inclusion and diversity. We organised several workshops and game-based activities, which proved to be highly effective in fostering participation and reflection. These included: • Sports and physical activities that promoted teamwork and respect; • Music, dance and performing arts to explore identity and cultural diversity; • Creative writing and storytelling, using both contemporary and classical texts; • Poetry, drama and role-playing to develop empathy and challenge stereotypes; • Visual arts and photography to express inclusive messages; • Word games and board games that encouraged cooperation and critical thinking; • Debates and video production to give voice to students’ perspectives; • Use of digital tools and information technologies to enhance creativity and digital literacy. These activities not only supported the development of key competences, such as communication, collaboration and critical thinking, but also strengthened students’ awareness of social inclusion, equity, and active citizenship

Our project generated several tangible and meaningful outputs that could be used beyond the project’s duration. These included: • An eBook compiling all the didactic materials developed, which served both as teaching resources and reference materials for educators; • Brochures, posters, and postcards designed and produced by students to raise awareness about inclusion; • A collection of videos and podcasts created during the workshops; • An art exhibition of students’ work from the working teams. The project also had a significant impact on the personal and social development of the participants. Through the workshops implemented in each work package, students improved their: • Communication and language skills (including foreign languages), • ICT and digital competences, • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, • Teamwork and friendship skills, • Self-esteem and respect for others • Empathy and openness to diversity. The project also had a positive effect beyond the school context. The activities and results extended to the families of the participants, who, through school events — contributing with typical meals, dance groups, and online platforms — became aware of the project’s impact on the community.
