Objectives

The general objective of the project was increasing the quality-of-life indicators of Older Adults (65+) with fewer opportunities due to age, health, income and social barriers living in Bucharest and Rome. The achievement of this general objective was designed through the accomplishment of the following two specific objectives: O1 Increasing the quality of life for 60 Older Adults (30 from Bucharest and 30 from Rome), with fewer opportunities because of age, health, income and social barriers by developing the competence of self-awareness of their body, breathing, emotions, feelings & mind, to improve their inclusion and active participation in social life; O2 Building the capacity of our organizations to engage in cross-border cooperation and networking in order to increase our competences to enhance social inclusion and foster diversity. All of these were directly linked to the project’s priorities of removing various types of barriers (physical, emotional, psychological issues such as anxiety and depression) to a quality life which may be brought by the aging process. Improving inclusiveness was also one of the priorities for raising the life quality indicators of both target groups of 65+ with fewer opportunities.
