▶Objectives
The aim of our project was to raise awareness among students about the impact that climate changes have in the present and in the long run and to engage students to take a stand against the slow destruction of the planet. Thus, we have established two specific objectives: O1: Raising awareness, by at least 10%, for at least 96 students from 4 different countries, of the need for their involvement in environmental protection actions, by April 2025; O2: The development of digital skills for at least 96 students, aged 14-18, from 4 different countries, until April 2025. These goals were correlated with the common need of our institutions to involve both students and teachers in international programs regarding the exchange of good practices on environmental issues; to raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation and at the same time, to develop their digital skills in order to transfer environmental protection campaigns to the online environment. The implementation of this project was an absolute necessity because our schools, through their vital role in the community are a key factor in educating consumers and tomorrow's decision-makers and motivating them to get involved in actions that promote civic engagement.
▶Activities
To achieve the stated objectives, we organized 4 mobility activities: 3 physical mobilities and 1 virtual activity. They were all meticulously planned in order to provide the students with a comprehensive learning experience. The Italian school organized the first mobility of the project, in March 2024. Its aim was to develop students` digital skills to create digital content related to environmental protection. The second mobility was organised by LTS, Romania, in May 2025. By using ICT tools, students developed their digital skills and became aware of the impact of their lifestyle choices on the environment. The third mobility, organised by the Portuguese school, in October 2024, aimed to raise awareness among students about the impact of deforestation, recycling, CO2 emissions, electricity waste and to motivate students to adopt behaviors that could prevent the destruction of the environment. The virtual activity, organised by the Turkish school, in February 2025, aimed to raise awareness among students about environment damaging behaviors and to empower them with skills that allow them to become true eco-warriors. To ensure a high quality implementation of the project, we organised 3 transnational meetings of the project team.
