Objectives

Through this project, our primary goal was to enhance teachers’ knowledge and skills in using the Arduino platform. We aimed to deliver a comprehensive and practical training program tailored for educators in technical fields such as electrical engineering, electronics, ICT, and mechatronics. Our specific objectives included: • Building foundational knowledge: Ensuring teachers gained a solid understanding of how to effectively incorporate Arduino into vocational education. • Mastering Arduino language and equipment: Providing in-depth familiarity with the Arduino programming language and the diverse components and devices involved in Arduino projects. • Applying Arduino in industrial contexts: Demonstrating real-world applications of Arduino in industry to help teachers convey the practical relevance of this technology to their students. • Developing professional teaching skills: Enhancing the quality of instruction by integrating Arduino-based applications, thereby fostering a modern and interactive teaching approach. Beyond technical training, we also established a framework for international collaboration, promoting intercultural exchange and understanding among participants.

Activities

Five transnational meetings (MTPs) were organised, one in each partner country. At each TPM, the host partner presented an Arduino training module and an educational kit, accompanied by workshops and visits to relevant companies. Agenda of meetings: Romania (march 2024): Project launch, Button & LED module, LEGO robots, visit to LIBERTY Galati. Turkey (may 2024): LCD module, training in making educational videos. Italy (october 2024): Modules Dot Matrix and Keypad, visit to Ansaldo Electronic. Spain (november 2024): Engine module (DC, Servo, Step), eTwinning workshop, visit to local companies - ONTEX and Royal Glass Factory. Greece (february 2025): Sensor module, dissemination, sustainability. Final workshop: „Our project meets VET schools, electronics and ICT industries, labor markets” Each partner has organized a local workshop to present the results of the project, in particular the Arduino guide and kits, to: Professors interested in integrating Arduino into the curriculum - Representatives of local companies and authorities

Impact

Training kits Arduino-Practical educational kits, designed specifically for Arduino lessons in technical education. Using ARD in VET – Complete guide to using the Arduino platform in technical education. Educational videos that demonstrate step-by-step how to use kits and help implement Arduino activities in the classroom. These resources support teacher self-training and can also be used directly with students. The project website where all materials (guide, kits, videos, results) are available in digital format. The website facilitates free access to resources, supports dissemination and enables collaboration between teachers from different countries. Improved digital skills of teachers-teaching staff have developed their skills in using Arduino and applying modern teaching methods. Increasing student engagement with Students-Elevis showed increased interest in technical disciplines thanks to interactive and practical lessons with Arduino. The level of attendance at the school involved has also increased. Strengthening international cooperation. A sustainable network of technology schools in five countries has been established
