The Smart Healthcare Engineering project have been designed with the objective of cultivating a novel approach to preparing specialised engineers for the healthcare sector. This initiative involves a combination of traditional and contemporary/virtual teaching methods, which are complemented by an intensive training programme that offers to students opportunities to gain practical experience in authentic work settings.
▶Activities
The project Smart Healthcare Engineering will implement three main activities: 1. Formation of new competences during an Intensive training programme based on theoretical and real work situations. 2. Developing of specific training materials for management of operation, maintenance and safety of hospitals, their engineering, installations, equipment and buildings. 3. Developing a virtual e-learning platform.
▶Impact
Main results of the Smart Healthcare Engineering are: Increasing of 63 students practical skills in healthcare engineering by participating at Intensive training programme Publishing of Smart Healthcare Engineering Handbook Defining and implement an innovative pedagogical approach with freely access to training materials and virtual e-learning platform in the field of healthcare engineering.
