▶Objectives
The EMME – Exchanging Memories: Memory of the Earth project aimed to strengthen environmental awareness, digital innovation, and intercultural cooperation among students and teachers from Europe. Its main goal was to connect schools with UNESCO Global Geoparks, turning them into open-air classrooms where learners could explore the history of the Earth and understand the importance of protecting it. Through joint activities, EMME sought to develop green skills and key competences such as teamwork, critical thinking, and scientific curiosity, while encouraging creativity through media and digital storytelling. Teachers improved their capacity to integrate environmental topics, ICT, and interdisciplinary methods into their lessons. At the same time, the project aimed to build sustainable partnerships between schools and geoparks, promote Erasmus+ values, and create open educational resources — such as the #EMME Curriculum, the Mobile App, and student video documentaries - that can be used long after the project’s completion. Ultimately, EMME aimed to inspire a generation of responsible, eco-aware young Europeans, capable of transforming knowledge into concrete environmental action.
