Inclusive Apprenticeships for Sustainable Jobs

INCLUSIVE APPRENTICESHIPS is conceived as a transnational cooperation project between 5 partners from 4 countries, aimed at promoting social inclusion in the field of VET, raising VET's attractiveness and boosting innovation, by enhancing the outreach of and the support provided by the business involved in work-base learning (WBL) to apprentices with fewer opportunities and from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We will design, develop and validate a training programme for company mentors and an e-learning platform, as well as inform, motivate, select and train 120 company mentors from Romania, Bulgaria and Austria on how to support apprentices with disabilities, minority, migrant or refugee background, living in rural areas, facing socioeconomic difficulties or at risk of discrimination. We will produce evidential basis for the effectiveness of our approach, disseminate and promote to raise awareness.

Apart from the a bespoke multilingual online training course, an e-learning platform to ensure open access from across Europe, 3 case studies, dissemination and promotion campaigns and many additional tangible results, we envisage enhanced competence levels and boosted professional development of company mentors, disadvantaged and fewer opportunities apprentices being more effectively supported during in-company training, as well as enhanced attractiveness of a VET system that is inclusive.
