The project idea was to develop a nature-based YCampINLE model to promote environmental education that fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world, reinforcing sustainable and environmentally conscious behaviours and providing opportunities for youth to connect with nature, learn about the importance of protecting it, and develop skills to become responsible and engaged. Project objectives were: O1: to develop a YCampINLE model that promotes using nature as a learning ground, connecting youth with nature, and encourages environmental education and integration of nature immersion activities and learning through nature by activating all senses O2: to strengthen the capacities of youth-friendly organisations and youth workers to design and implement effective nature-based educational activities, including knowledge-building and networking O3: to create a stimulating setting to encourage youth exchanges under tents as a form that offers genuine connectedness and coexistence of young people with nature, and provides hands-on environmental education O4: to develop exhaustive dissemination of the YCampINLE model and connect with stakeholders at the national level and across Europe

Project activities were structured through five interconnected and complementary work packages: – Project Management – Exchange of practices and strengthening of partnership – Creation of content scenarios of the YCampINLE model – Empowering youth workers for YCampINLE – Knowledge network building and story-sharing Through these work packages, the partners jointly developed five tangible results, ensuring their relevance, applicability and quality for youth work in natural settings. Project activities included four partnership meetings, joint youth learning through an international youth exchange under tents, a joint training course for youth workers (LTTA), four local workshops, as well as a series of multiplier and networking events. Particular emphasis was placed on experience sharing, practical testing of the developed content, empowerment of youth workers and young people with fewer opportunities, as well as on the dissemination of results and partnership-based networking among the participating organisations, aimed at strengthening youth work through nature-based and experiential learning approaches.

The project produced concrete, practical and high-quality resources that support the YCampINLE model and its integration into youth work and non-formal learning. Developed tools and materials enable youth workers and organisations to design and implement nature-based activities, with a strong focus on international youth exchanges under tents, experiential learning, connection with nature, and innovative use of digital tools. All resources are accessible, user-friendly and inclusive, and adaptable to different youth work contexts and needs. Youth workers enhanced their knowledge/skills in planning, delivering and evaluating nature-based activities, and youths were empowered to actively participate, share experiences and develop an increased interest in international mobility and environmental topics.
