Objectives

The 'Edumom' project aimed to empower women on parental leave by developing their skills and enhancing their employment prospects. The key objectives were: 1.To provide 40 women on parental leave with access to training that would enhance their career development and employability. 2.To support adult educators by equipping them with innovative tools and best practices for upskilling women on parental leave. 3.To raise awareness about lifelong learning and the availability of formal and non-formal education opportunities among women on parental leave. 4.To create tangible resources, such as a dedicated website with 20 training video series, a guide on education opportunities, and a list of digital tools for skill development. 5.To foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange among partner organizations to promote gender equality and lifelong learning.

Activities

1.Project Management and Coordination: Meetings Development of the project’s overall strategy, timeline, and quality control mechanisms. 2.Creation of Tangible Outputs: Creation of the project logo and social media and project website. Developed the guide on formal and non-formal education opportunities in partner countries and abroad. A comprehensive and collaborative content creation process that resulted in the development of 22 educational videos aimed at supporting women returning to the workforce. To ensure consistency and quality across all content, we provided hands-on training to key project partners at the kick-off meeting in Portugal 3.International Training in Sweden: Five-day international training, which equipped them with skills to implement local training sessions. 4.Local Trainings in project partners countries: Training sessions for women on parental leave and educators, migrants that was interested in the topic attended, providing hands-on guidance and practical knowledge. 5.Dissemination Activities: Promoted the project through social media, website, local networks, and multiplier events. Reached out to new organizations and women on parental leave through peer-to-peer activities.

Impact

1.Tangible Outputs: A website and YouTube channel hosting 22 training video series focused on skills development. A comprehensive guide on formal and non-formal education opportunities in partner countries and online. A curated list of digital tools to help women complete tasks like video creation and social media management. 2.Improved Skills and Knowledge: Enhanced the digital and professional skills of 40 women on parental leave through local training sessions. Provided social workers with new methods and tools for effective adult education through international training. 3.Increased Awareness: Raised awareness about lifelong learning and available educational opportunities among women on parental leave through workshops, training, and dissemination efforts. 4.Community Impact: Fostered greater gender equality and active participation of women in the labour market by equipping them with employable skills. Engaged local stakeholders, NGOs, and adult education centres to increase awareness of the project’s objectives. 5.Dissemination Results: Reached women and stakeholders not directly involved in the project through multiplier events. Engaged new organizations across partner countries to amplify the project's long-term impact.
