βΆObjectives
Our project aimed to facilitate the integration process of refugees into society, ensure their full participation in social life, promote recognition and respect for their cultures. Through this project, it was aimed to enable refugees to express themselves and connect with the community through music. Another goal of the project was to reduce prejudices against refugees in society. Thus, tolerance and understanding towards refugees was targeted to be increase in society.
βΆActivities
We had aimed to organised workshop to teach refugees how to play musical instruments and create music, we had refugees on first day. By organising concert where they were able to showcase their artistic talents, we wanted to enable refugees to express themselves through music. We aimed to increase intercultural interaction in society by organizing events where refugees can introduce their own cultures but it was limited to first day of activity in Turkey by host organisation. We had aimed to organising music therapy sessions to help refugees overcome their traumas since we wanted to provide them with psychological support. It was not implemented due to the fact that only half of the project activities took place in Turkey whereas the project activity that was supposed to be in Sweden in August 2024 was cancelled. We have reported all the details of bad management and bad behaviour of the host organisation in Turkey to the case officer at UHR via email during activity in Turkey in April 2024. The decision was taken by UHR that the second activity 'All The Colours Of Rainbow!' will not to realised in Sweden and close the project by sending final report. We were informed by UHR to send 2000β¬ to the host organisation in Turkey.
