Objectives

PREVENT aims to leverage the potential of deep tech systems in environmental applications. The project also aims to introduce new and enrich existing modules in Engineering undergraduate programmes in HEIs on technologies related to prevention of natural disasters and the use of networks of sensors for the real-time collection of data which is pushed to centrally implemented Artificial Intelligence algorithms for optimize certain conditions and/or rectify or prevent disasters.

Activities

The main activities are: - Creation of a Pedagogical Guide - PreVEnT podcasts episodes: podcasts based on the topics of each chapter of the pedagogical guide - Training modules and Virtual Living Labs - Open Living Labs - Hackathon Events for the development of new business ideas related to deep tech and the prevention of natural disasters - Round tables with community experts, HE students will analyze needs, and shortcomings of the community in Disaster Management

Impact

The main results are: -1 Pedagogical Guide - 7 Podcasts -Online Training module -VLL with embedded PLC programming and other micro-challenges -1 Μethodological Guide on how to organize, implement and evaluate OLLs -1 Digital Handbook comprising of methodological(and inclusive) guidelines and tips for actual implementation [lesson plans] for each of the workshops - 1 report per participating organization from the round table with HEO and municipalities, encompassing framework of discussion
