Map EEC aims to achieve the following objectives: • Contribute to a better understanding of the institutional change towards the recognition of engaged educators in HEIs • Support HEIs in fostering teaching academics’ professional advancement • Equip HEIs with strategies to recognise and incentivise engaged educators • Contribute to EC priority to develop and implement strategies and quality culture to reward and incentivise excellence in teaching by providing policy recommendations

During the project, partners will implement the following activities: • Conduct in-depth research on the status quo of the engaged educator’s recognition in academia • Co-create and test the Engaged Educator Recognition and Promotion Matrix • Develop Strategic Roadmap for embedding the Matrix in their contexts. Additionally, we will prototype a variety of supporting mechanisms that will complement the Matrix and the Roadmap • Organise a policy recommendation workshop and showcase events

By implementing the project activities, partners will produce the following results: 1. DISCOVERY REPORT: in depth research on the status quo of the engaged educator’s recognition in academia 2. COLLECTION OF CASE STUDIES examples within HEIs across different types of events, incentive mechanisms, awards, role model promotion 3. ENGAGED EDUCATORS’ MATRIX AND SUPPORTING MATERIALS 4. STRATEGIC ROADMAP and a variety of SUPPORTING MECHANISMS 5.POLICY RECOMMENDATION REPORT
